A second suit can give you more ways to wear the first. With the Noah John DK02, keep each jacket with its matching vest and change the suit pants. The jacket and vest stay coordinated while a different color below changes the outfit.

Start with a suit you would wear complete. Choose the next color for the shirts, shoes and occasions already in your wardrobe, then use the pairings below to decide whether it adds something useful.

For an occasion that requires a matching suit, wear the jacket, vest and suit pants in the same color.

The Noah John DK02 includes a jacket, vest and suit pants. This guide uses Indigo, Light Gray, Slate Blue, Black, Sage and Ivory.

Keep the matching jacket and vest together. Change the suit pants.

For an event, follow the invitation’s dress code.

Try these combinations: Indigo with Light Gray, Light Gray with Slate Blue or Ivory with Sage.

Start with Indigo or Light Gray

Indigo works with black or brown dress shoes and a plain white shirt. Wear the jacket, vest and suit pants together when a matching suit is expected.

Light Gray is another option for offices and events that allow lighter suits.

When to choose Black

Wear Black with a white shirt and black dress shoes. Add a tie for a more formal look. An invitation that specifies black tie calls for a tuxedo.

You can also pair Black suit pants with the Light Gray jacket and vest. Keep the shoes black.

Add a color you’ll wear

Add a second suit you’d wear on its own. Light Gray gives you a lighter suit and works with the Indigo jacket and vest. If you start with Light Gray, try Slate Blue next.

Fasten the vest and sit down. It should reach the waistband without a strip of shirt showing or pulling across the front. Check that the suit pants feel comfortable at the seat and thighs.

Light Gray suit pants lighten the Indigo jacket and vest. Try this for a work lunch where a matching suit is not required.

Wear a plain white shirt and brown dress shoes. Add a patterned tie if you like.

Light Gray with Slate Blue

Slate Blue gives the Light Gray jacket and vest a softer contrast than Indigo.

Wear a white shirt. A deep blue tie picks up the color of the suit pants.

Ivory with Sage

The Ivory jacket and vest keep this combination light. Sage suit pants add a muted green, and brown shoes work with both colors.

Wear an open collar where the dress code allows it, or add a muted brown tie. For a wedding, check with the couple before choosing Ivory.

How the 36 pairings work

Six jackets with their matching vests can be paired with six colors of suit pants: 6 × 6 = 36 combinations, including the six matching suits.

To make all 36, you would need all six complete suits. This guide uses suit pants from those suits; it does not assume the pieces are sold separately.

Start with one suit. Add another color when you know how you’ll wear it.
